Snow College : The George S. and Dolores Dore' Eccles
Center for the Performing Arts

The George S. and Dolores Dore' Eccles Center for Performing Arts and Horne School of Music is our third teaming with Gould Evans Associates. We worked with the Phoenix and Salt Lake City offices on this 76,000 SF project for Snow College.

We worked closely with the Owner's representatives and design team on a detailed program confirmation phase, and provided design direction for the 559-seat theatre, 744-seat Concert Hall, including seating, sightlines and exiting assistance, and consulting for the Black Box theatre and full range of classroom and support spaces. As usual, we also provided designs, documentation and construction administration of performance lighting systems, stage rigging and lift, and Concert Hall canopy. The project construction cost was $14.3M, considerably under budget, and the project has been awarded a 2003 Honor Award by the Utah American Institute of Architects and a 2003 Award of Excellence by AIA Utah & Utah Masonry Council.
