Glenn Massey Theatre, Mat-Su College
Palmer, Alaska
The new Glenn Massey Theatre provides this University of Alaska-Anchorage campus with a beautiful 520-seat performance space and the largest assembly space available on this campus.
Landry & Bogan and Kumin Architects conducted programming with College and community users to determine the desired characteristics. L&B worked closely with the architects to develop the theatre plan, including public, performer and technical support spaces.
We designed performance lighting, the orchestra pit lift, rigging for the full fly tower from schematics to inspection of completed systems, as well as advising the architect and engineers on lighting positions, performance floors, control and followspot locations, dressing rooms, production shops and audience amenities.
The completed center is fully equipped for college, local and touring productions.
