Oregon Shakespeare Festival - Thomas Theatre
In 1990 the Oregon Shakespeare festival turned to Landry & Bogan to assist with the design for a new theatre to replace the Black Swan as a home for the smaller, more experimental productions. L&B led the building programming effort with Richard Hay who created the concept design - for a "neutral environment for theatre". We worked closely with Festival personnel and architects Thomas Hacker Associates on room form, catwalks, adjacencies, and space relationships while providing designs and documentation for performance, house and work-lighting, rigging, a flying soffit, stage traps, and lift.
